Transwest grants a wish for a little boy!
July 02, 2014
Due to both the success of some of our recent events, and the generosity both of our company and customers, we were able to grant a wish for a boy in Colorado through Make-A-Wish® Colorado! Thank you to all that came to our Open House and private events in the first quarter, you helped make this incredible thing possible!
Patrick is 5-years-old and has acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). He lives in Fort Collins with his parents and brother. Patrick’s wish is to have a treehouse. He loves to be outside and wanted something that he could share with his brother and friends. When the Make-A-Wish volunteers first meet our wish kids, they ask them several questions about what sort of different things that they like. Some of the Patrick’s favorites include: the color blue; Dr. Seuss books, gummy bears, bananas, dancing, Veggie Tales and Tom & Jerry. Though there were many specific things Patrick mentioned in his interview about the treehouse (can you imagine letting all five 5 year olds design tree houses?!), he very specifically requested blue curtains.
We're so touched by Patrick's heart and story, and are grateful to be part of his journey.
Make-A-Wish Colorado said, "We can’t thank you enough for your support and know that you are making a real difference in not only Patrick’s life but the life of his family. We look forward to working with you all in the future."
