Spring Horse Shows

Horse at Horse showHere in the chilly, dark months of winter, spring might seem like a long way off, but it'll be here before you know it. So we wanted to profile a few of the nation's best horse shows in the spring, in case you want to plan on catching one. And if we missed a great spring event, let us know!

Old Salem Farm. Located north of New York City in North Salem, inside gorgeous Westchester county, this show is one of the Top 25 in the country. The spring show begins May 5th and runs through the 19th. The show's events bring top riders from around the world in Olympic-caliber competition with hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money at stake. For more info visit their website.

Scottsdale Spring Classic. If you want to head to the southwest, check out the Hunter Jumper show in Scottsdale, which runs from March 13th through March 28th at the Westworld Equestrian center. For a prize list and more details, visit their website.

CAHC Spring Arabian Show. The Colorado Arabian Horse Club has its annual show at the National Western Events Center in the coming spring. They haven't announced the official dates yet, but check out their website for updated information.

Mid-America Spring Show March 26th-28th Mid-America presents their kick-off show in Roscoe, Illinois. The event is held entirely indoors, so don't worry about mid-March snow. Visit their website for more info on the event.
