We'll complete tractor lubrication, including front and rear suspension, 5th wheel, S-cam slack adjuster, and clutch release bearing. We'll also inspect the 5th wheel, replace up to 44 quarts of oil, install one new oil filter and up to two new fuel filters, install one new water filter, check fluid levels and gearboxes, and complete a 35-point vehicle check.
Wheel and Axle Alignment
Improper wheel alignment significantly shortens tire life and increases fuel consumption. It takes just a tenth of an inch to have a big impact on your cost. A total wheel alignment reduces tire wear, reduces component wear, improves handling, minimizes rolling resistance, and more! Visit a Transwest truck service center for your frontend alignment, two-axle alignment, three-axle alignment, and more.
Diesel Emissions Test
Our service centers are certified diesel emissions testing facilities with the ability to test light-duty vehicles, medium-duty vehicles, and heavy-duty vehicles for emissions. If you're unsure if a diesel emissions test is required in your area, please contact your local county motor vehicle office.
DOT Inspection
Transwest knows how important the DOT inspections we provide are, as they keep you in compliance with key safety regulations. The Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requires all commercial vehicles to undergo annual DOT inspections. During evaluations, our staff will look thoroughly at all parts and accessories to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
Overhead Adjustments
The primary reason for running an overhead adjustment is to prevent gradual degradation of the engine performance and, in extreme cases, to prevent significant engine damage. Accurate adjustment of the overhead clearances is imperative for obtaining optimal engine performance and fuel economy. Most engines require an initial overhead between 50,000 and 100,000 miles depending on the engine manufacturer.
VIN Verification
Transwest is happy to offer VIN verifications. A VIN verification is a physical inspection of the vehicle to verify that the vehicle identification number on the vehicle matches the vehicle's registration documentation. VIN Verifications are performed for titling and registration.
VIS Check
While you're in our shop, inquire about a VIS-Check! Your best protection against safety and efficiency-robbing undercarriage failure, VIS-Checks can be performed on any Class 3 to Class 8 truck, trailer, or bus. This service includes analysis of brake, steering, and suspension components. You can expect improved fuel economy, a safer ride, and a lower risk of roadside breakdowns as a result.
