What is a 2+1 Horse Trailer
You usually haul two horses but need that extra room for an other horse from time to time. A fourth will fit in that front box with the third one if you have to. There are ramps on the rear and side of the trailer so loading and unloading are as safe as it can be. If needed the horses in the main stalls can be lead out forward and down that front ramp. Thiese trailers can also be set up in a two box configuration allowing two horses to truely travel in comfort and face whatever way they would like. Maybe your cargo is not just horses. That front box is great for hauling trunks, extra show supplies, or even a four wheeler. A 2+1 lets you do so much. In addition to all this there is also a tack room up front and all that extra storage up in the nose of the gooseneck.

Quality LED lights all around
LED lights are brighter, faster, and they draw less current. So what does that mean for you? Brighter lights give your trailer more visibility at night and from a greater distance giving you a safety buffer against other drivers on the road. It may not seem like much but the faster response time of the LED brake lights can mean the difference between a collision and staying out of an accident. Lower current draw helps in a variety of ways. It puts less stress on the tow vehicle electrical system and it also eases the demand on the trailer wiring avoiding any heating in the wires and connections -
Door are important
Massive 7” x 1 ¾” tubular door frame extrusion with welded on greasable hinges. Each door comes with keyed-alike, flush mounted door latches. Weather stripping recessed into the door frame and heavy duty safety bar grills at the feed doors. -
Floors are critical for hauling safely
The foundation of each Cimarron trailer begins with aluminum extrusions that run across the trailer from side to side. Each one of these planks includes cross members and floor decking that is integrated into a one piece aluminum extrusion. The cross members are on 4” centers, each plank connects to the next with a tongue and groove at the top & bottom. This system interlocks each member together across the full width of the trailer, creating the strongest flooring member possible. Cimarron uses 6005A-T6 aluminum alloy to get the best corrosion resistance in the business. 6005A is 15% more corrosion resistant than the commonly used 6061 alloy. -
The real strength of Cimarron Trailers
The tubular posts used by Cimarron on all their trailers are much stronger than the commonly used C-Channel or Hat Channel. The fact that they are 60% stiffer is part of what makes a Cimarron Trailer what they are. Haul your horses in confidence with the quality that Cimarron Trailers provides. Add 4 ½” x 1 3/8” posts at all full height doors and you have one of the best built trailers in the industry.
