Known for their attention to detail in Class A gas and diesel RVs, Newmar debuted their Super Star Super C a few years ago, making quite a splash in the RV industry. Given the Super Star’s and its followup, the Supreme Aire’s, immediate warm reception, it’s no surprise that Newmar is now expanding their Super C lineup.

Without further ado, Newmar’s Grand Star

At first glance, the Grand Star is unassuming compared to its flashier Newmar brethren. However, this new Super C represents something new for the brand as a whole, as it packs all of the details and luxuries we’ve come to expect from a Newmar in a smaller, more affordable build. This makes the dream of owning a Newmar accessible for a whole new segment of potential RV buyers and expands their market reach in a big way. 

Built on the Freightliner S2 Chassis

All three Grand Star floor plans are assembled on a Freightliner S2 motorhome chassis. This tough and performant chassis provides 360 hp, can generate up to 800 lb/ft of torque, and affords a towing capacity of up to 12,000 lbs. 

For reference, an F-350 usually weighs around 8,000 lbs, and some single-engine planes weigh as little as 2,000 lbs., so you can expect your Grand Star to easily tow just about anything you want to steer, on land, air, or sea 😉.

Interior and exterior design options galore

The Grand Star is no exception to Newmar’s adherence to luxury at every detail, both inside and out. Available in three exterior color schemes, the Grand Star is sure to turn heads at every stoplight. True to form, Newmar’s full-paint Masterpiece Finish™ is still applied in-house at Newmar headquarters and is also available in an optional Onyx blackout package. 

For the interior, three well-crafted and curated design options, including four timeless cabinet finishes, are available to tastefully customize your coach to your personal style. 

2026 Newmar Grand Star’s Flexible Floor Plans

For its maiden voyage on the market, the Grand Star is available in three surprisingly variable floor plans. All three floorplans boast Newmar’s first over-cab sleeping nook, which can comfortably sleep two adults but will likely be stolen by any kids traveling with you.

Grand Star 3444

The shortest floor plan, the Grand Star 3444, is just under 35 feet long and is touted as a perfect introduction for first-time RV buyers. Note that the full-sized shower, spacious living area, and king-sized bed are still present, as one would expect of Newmar.

Grand Star 3940

At just under 40 feet, the Grand Star 3940 is a great option for those traveling with children. With bunk beds in addition to the over-cab bunk and king-sized bed, you can bring the whole family along for the ride. 

Grand Star 3948

Another 40-footer, the Grand Star 3948 is a great choice for full-time RVers or those who simply want more space. With a bath-and-a-half and over-cab bunk in addition to the king-sized bed and roomy living space, you’ll be cruising in comfort and style.

The Newmar Grand Star: Space to live and entertain

As you enter the coach through the full-sized galley, you’re immediately struck by the gorgeous finishes customary in a Newmar coach. The galley features an 18 cubic-foot refrigerator, a microwave convection oven with an air fryer, and beautiful countertops and cabinetry. There is an optional induction cooktop and dishwasher. 

With the living area and cab/over-cab bunk to the right and the bedroom to the left, this snazzy Class C feels warm and inviting, yet somehow also spacious and breathable. With the slideouts engaged, it's easy to imagine you’re in both a cozy cottage and an expansive home at once. 

One of the very striking features of the Grand Star is the sheer amount of storage space packed into this coach. At every turn, there are clever, beautifully designed storage areas, from cabinetry, wardrobes, and counter space to smart uses of vertical space. 

As you move toward the back of the coach, take note of the full-sized shower and pantry on the way in the 3940 and 3444. The 3948 floorplan features a rear-cabin bathroom beyond the king-sized bed, allowing for ultimate privacy and a residential en suite experience. 

Add in its exterior entertainment center, including a sound bar, optional Starlink Internet capability, and comfy theater seating, and you can enjoy at-home comforts from just about anywhere in the Newmar Grand Star.
